The history of Willow Park can be traced back to the founding of Parker County back in 1856. During the time, agricultural and ranching developments were made to the area and several settlers started farming the land. Willow Park was named after a local park built during the 1940’s that highlighted Willow Trees and a local pond. It was the perfect stopover for travelers.
